1. About Us and Our Products

SuperheldenHulphond.nl is a webshop specialising in products for assistance dogs and their handlers.

We offer carefully selected and handcrafted items with a strong focus on safety, visibility, and comfort.

Many products are handmade. This means each item is unique and may contain small variations or minor imperfections, which do not affect usability or quality.

Our mission: practical, beautiful, and affordable — and ideally, small enough to fit in your pocket.

2. Safety and Use

You are always responsible for the correct and safe use of our products, including halter connectors, bandanas, medication pouches and other functional items.

Our products do not serve as legal certification or access credentials, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Avoid contact with soil, sand, or salt. Water is generally not a problem, but please dry and clean the product after use.

Handwash with mild soap is recommended. Machine washing and tumble drying are discouraged.

Some materials may melt at high temperatures.

If applicable, lubricate moving metal parts occasionally with a drop of household oil.

3. Questions and Custom Solutions

Do you have specific needs or questions? We’re happy to think along.
We regularly assist with:

• Adjustments to existing products

• Extension pieces for harnesses

• Labels and patch options

• Tailoring or adapting capes and vests

Customisation is often possible by request.

 

4. Privacy

We handle your personal data with care:

• Your data is only used to process your order and will never be shared with third parties, unless legally required.

• Photos you share with us (e.g. via email or social media) may be used on our website, platforms, or in promotional material — unless you request otherwise at the time of submission.

• Where possible, we anonymise images.

• If you wish to remain anonymous or don’t want your photo shared at all, just let us know.

• We only use respectful, appropriate images and never publish names or details without your explicit consent.

 

5. Visits by Appointment

In-person visits are occasionally possible by appointment — for example, to discuss customisation or view specific items.
Please note: this is a private home, not a public storefront.

 

6. Gifts and Discounts

• Free gifts and discount offers are non-binding and may vary.

• A maximum of one free gift per order applies.

• We rarely offer discounts, as our prices are already kept as low as sustainably possible.

• No rights can be derived from previous actions or extras.

 

7. Ordering and Payment

• Orders are placed through our webshop.

• Payment is possible via iDEAL or other listed payment methods.

• You will receive an order confirmation by email after payment.

• If anything goes wrong, just contact us — we’ll help.

By placing an order, you agree to these terms and conditions.

SuperheldenHulphond reserves the right to terminate a customer relationship at any time if mutual trust or respectful cooperation is lacking.

8. Delivery Time, Shipping and International Orders

We aim to ship orders within 3–7 business days, unless otherwise stated on the product page.
Custom or personalised items may take longer — this will be communicated in advance.

📦 Shipping within the Netherlands, Belgium, and Europe (Zone 1 & 2)

Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout.
You will see the fee based on your location before completing your order.
After shipment, you will receive a confirmation email (with tracking, where applicable).

🌍 Shipping outside Europe (Rest of World)

We offer shipping to selected countries outside the EU. However, shipping costs for these destinations are not calculated during checkout.

• You can complete your order as usual.

• After reviewing your order and location, we will manually calculate the correct shipping cost.

• You will receive a separate payment request.

• Your order will only be shipped after this additional payment has been completed.

📌 If shipping turns out to be unexpectedly high, you may cancel the order before payment without obligation.

🧾 Customs, Import Duties and Additional Charges

• For shipments outside the Netherlands, your country may charge customs fees, VAT, import duties, or handling charges.

• These fees are not included in our product or shipping prices.

• As the buyer, you are responsible for all such local costs.

• We cannot predict, reduce, or reimburse these fees.

We comply with postal regulations and do not mark orders as gifts or understate the value.

9. Returns and Right of Withdrawal

• For standard products, the statutory right of withdrawal applies:
  You may cancel and return your order within 14 days of receipt, without giving a reason.

• Personalised or custom-made products are excluded from this right — unless the product is faulty or not as described.

• Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging.

• Once received and inspected, we will refund the purchase amount within 14 days.

• Return shipping is at your own expense, unless the return is due to our error.

10. Warranty and Complaints

• We offer a 6-month warranty on manufacturing defects (excluding second-chance items).

• Wear and tear, incorrect use, or poor maintenance are not covered.

• Please report complaints preferably within 14 days of discovering the problem to superheldenhulphond@gmail.com.

• Later reports will still be handled if the issue wasn’t visible earlier.

We always aim to find a fair solution.

In the case of custom-made products, we may ask you to return the original item before providing a replacement, refund, or solution.

 

11. Intellectual Property and Licensing

All designs, products, concepts, images, logos, texts, patterns, product presentations and other creative works by SuperheldenHulphond (R. van Vliet) are protected under copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights.

You are not allowed, without prior written consent, to:

• Copy, distribute, edit, or commercially use any part of our work

• Create derivative works or remove brand markings

Licences for commercial use are only issued in writing and under specific conditions.

We do our best to provide correct and current information, but we do not accept liability for damage resulting from the use of our website or materials.

 

12. Refusal of Orders

SuperheldenHulphond reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders in specific situations, including but not limited to:

• Previous conflicts, abuse, or boundary-crossing behaviour

• Misuse of return rights or repeated unjustified complaints

• Suspicion of fraud, disruptive communication, or other serious concerns

In such cases, the order will be fully refunded where applicable.
No further explanation is required.

13. Governing Law

All agreements are subject to Dutch law only.
We prefer to resolve conflicts in mutual consultation.
If necessary, disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
