Handsfree rolstoel-lijn met oprolcassette – maximale vrijheid zonder losse lijn (Superheldenhulphond®)
Deze handsfree rolstoel-lijn is ontwikkeld voor (assistentie)hondenteams die hun hond wél aangelijnd willen houden, maar géén last willen hebben van een te lange, slappe of in de knoop rakende lijn.
De lijn rolt automatisch mee in en uit, waardoor je zelf niets hoeft in te halen en je hond toch vrij en natuurlijk naast de rolstoel kan bewegen.

💡 Ontwikkeld vanuit praktijk – en doorontwikkeld voor rolstoelgebruik
Bij veel handsfree lijnen (zoals heuplijnen en bungeelijnen) ontstaat in de praktijk hetzelfde probleem: de lijn wordt te lang, moet tussendoor worden ingehaald of vastgepakt, of beperkt juist de bewegingsvrijheid van de hond.
Dit systeem werkt anders. De lijn rolt automatisch mee in en uit. Je hoeft niets te bedienen, terwijl je hond wél aangelijnd blijft. In gebruik voelt dit bijna als loslopen, maar met de veiligheid van een lijn.
Voor dit product zijn meerdere systemen getest en vergeleken in dagelijks gebruik. Deze uitvoering is het resultaat van een langdurig zoek- en testproces en bleek als enige systeem echt prettig, stabiel en betrouwbaar te werken.
Het systeem is oorspronkelijk gebruikt als handsfree lijn aan de heup (o.a. vanwege beperkte handfunctie) en daarna bewust doorontwikkeld voor rolstoelgebruik. De eerste opbouw was daarvoor nét te zwaar, waardoor het inrollen soms onvoldoende was. Na het volledig aanpassen van de lijnopbouw en het bevestigingssysteem rolt het systeem nu soepel in en is het geschikt voor montage aan een rolstoel.
De gebruikte oprolcassette is gebaseerd op een systeem dat oorspronkelijk bedoeld is om een fiets te slepen of te verplaatsen. Voor gebruik als hondenlijn zijn de originele aanhechtingen verwijderd en is het complete bevestigingssysteem opnieuw opgebouwd. De basiscassette zelf is technisch hetzelfde.
Het systeem is uitgebreid in de praktijk getest met een jonge en soms onstuimige hond (± 1,5 jaar).

This hands-free wheelchair leash was developed for (assistance) dog teams who want to keep their dog leashed, without dealing with an overly long, slack or tangled lead.
The leash automatically retracts and extends, so you do not have to manage the line yourself, while your dog can still move freely and naturally next to the wheelchair.

With many hands-free leashes (such as waist leashes and bungee leashes), the same problem often occurs in practice: the line becomes too long, needs to be pulled in or held manually, or limits the dog’s freedom of movement.
This system works differently.
The leash automatically retracts and extends. You do not need to operate anything, while your dog remains safely leashed. In use, it almost feels like off-leash walking – but with the safety of a leash.
Several systems were tested and compared in daily use for this product. This version is the result of a long search-and-test process and proved to be the only system that worked pleasantly, stably and reliably in practice.
The system was originally used as a hands-free waist leash (among other reasons because of limited hand function) and was then deliberately further developed for wheelchair use. The first configuration was just slightly too heavy for this purpose, which sometimes affected the retraction. After fully redesigning the leash build and the attachment system, the leash now retracts smoothly and is suitable for wheelchair mounting.
The retractable cassette is based on a system originally designed for towing or moving a bicycle. For use as a dog leash, the original attachments were removed and the entire attachment system was rebuilt. The base cassette itself remains technically the same.
The system has been extensively tested in practice with a young and sometimes impulsive dog (approx. 1.5 years old).

Only attach the system to a solid, fixed frame point of the wheelchair and always use it in combination with a properly fitting harness.
Not intended for dogs that pull strongly on a regular basis or for sporty / high-dynamic use.
